Summit, The Moyle

The summit of The Moyle (150m) a very attractive hill in Dalbeattie Forest. The clearing shown on the map is now filled with rowan and birch trees. The hill can be awkward of access due to the remains of a forest fire and subsequent dense forestry. There is a path running in from the north and the south, the southern path leaving the mountain bike routes at NX847572. There is a white painted triangulation pillar and some other concrete pillars which look like mast guying points.
