Guide to Scotland's hills & mountains

Driesh photo

Driesh, a sheltered trig. point

Whilst snow lies on the surrounding hills, it has blown clear of the summit area of Driesh, pointing up the need for a circular wind break around the otherwise very exposed trig. point. It would also provide a good lunch spot for walkers if it weren't for the fact that inside the ring, the snow doesn't blow away as early.
