Slievenaglogh photo

Cairn, Slievenaglogh

Small stone cairn on the summit of Slievenaglogh. The view behind looks deep into the heart of the Mournes with many of the prominent mountains visible. The dark mountain to the middle left of picture is Doan, the summit in [[J3026]]; to the right is Ben Crom in [[J3126]] - see [[1140038]]; the water on the right below the mountain is the Ben Crom reservoir - see [[500338]] for a view taken from the top of the reservoir wall; to the right of the reservoir is the rising slope of Slieve Binnian. Mountains in the far distance can also be seen - in the background from left to right are Slieve Loughshannagh [[J2927]], Slieve Meelbeg [[J3027]] and the familiar rocky tors of Slieve Bearnagh [[1140040]] in [[J3128]].
